This is a great truck and we used it to pull our 36' toy hauler a few times. Never short of power and handled very well. Truck has did every thing I ever wanted it to do. With 93000 miles on this truck, I feel it has a lot more left in it for sure.

Performance- Overall, the performance of the truck is great. The build quality of the truck is amazing. With this being a work truck, I need it to hold up in tough conditions. The appearance of this truck speaks for itself in the picture. Beautiful. The truck was originally purchased for $52,500 in October 2005. It's diesel engine gets about 13 1/2 M.P.G. Overall, I love the truck.

Like: it tows our 21' boat, 16' cargo trailer, huge 11' Lance camper and even once 40' single wide mobile home from 3000 miles away. IT IS A DUALLY!!! It can easily handle 3000 lb of scrap metal all the way to the junkyard. One can sleep comfortably on the back seats while the other is driving. Hate: 1) the speed with which the fuel indicator drops to zero. 2) the sudden refusals to engage power steering for no apparent reason only to fix itself after two days. 3) the stubborn engine light which has been reset multiple times and nobody can figure out why it keeps coming on (the computer says air filter is plugged, when it just has been replaced...) 4) The necessity to replace automatic gears box just after 40K miles - the original died. the list goes on and on. 5) The overall lousy reliability - we own German and Japanese cars, and it is always American product which fails. (also have a Dodge Caravan, another piece of junk). SAD. Ford is lying; these trucks are not "built Ford tough". They are built so that the car mechanics are assured their American dreams. As for us, the owners- we are looking forward to the day when Toyota comes up with a diesel, true long bed (8') version of Tundra, preferably dually... We will then ditch Ford in a heartbeat.

I'm a tall man at 6' 7" and need the head and leg room. When shopping for a new truck the cab on the Ford was much more comfortable for me. With the King Ranch package I have all of the amenities and comfort combined with a very rugged and good looking interior. I like that the seating has me in a more upright position than the Chevy I drove, giving me the feeling of greater visibility. The power is good with enough to pull any trailer I have quite well. The integrated brake controller is a nice touch and works better than any aftermarket unit I have used. The only cons I have are the fuel economy should be better, (I get about 16 mpg hwy) and due to the power they eat tires even when driving conservatively.
