Used 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid Base for Sale near Merced, CA

Since my other car was sporty, a gas guzzler, and not good to load cargo or to park up on curbs, or do anything other than go fast and look awesome, I needed something more practical to be a daily driver. The Ford Escape was one of the earlier vehicles to offer a hybrid powertrainl, and so it could be had on the used market cheapest. It is practical, gets awesome gas mileage, and actually handles quite nicely. And since the engine was designed to compete with the 6 cylinder model, it actually accelerates decently, too.

I like that the seats are high enough for a person of short stature can see over the hood. I am not the best driver in the world, but the car is still in very good shape. I fully enjoy this vehicle, and love that its a hybrid.

great MPG, and quick for a hybrid!

The mileage was marginal and the ride was okay. When it ran on battery power only, it was so quiet!

As I said in the pros, the car just handles well, gets great fuel economy while still out accelerating the 6 cylinder versions of this vehicle. Lots of room for cargo when putting down the rear seats. My wife and I drove from St. Louis to San Antonio, then to DC, then another cross country trip to California. All with no problems except for that stupid tire blowing out.
