The Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 got some significant changes for 2006. The biggest one comes in the introduction of the Mega Cab trim, which adds another 20 inches to the cabin to maximize interior room. In addition, the Ram Pickup 1500 now has optional navigation and DVD system. With a stouter frame and 28 trims, the Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 has something solid for everyone.
This domestic pickup gives you your choice of 3 standard engines: a 3.7 L V6, a 4.7 L V8, and a 5.7 L V8. For the most part, expect this vehicle to tow up to around 9000 lbs. Gas mileage generally ranges from 14 mpg in the city to 18 on the highway. Trims come in 2 door, 3 seat or 4 door, 6 seat configurations.
Overall, the 2006 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 plays its dual role quite well as a rugged workhorse and everyday transportation. This truck handles well, the Mega Cab has lots of room, and the V8s give you the extra oomph needed to get to where you need to go. This truck runs absolutely great. Had the oil changed on time or early. Has never been wrecked or in a flood. It does have some very minor dings. The windshield has not cracks or dings in it.

My third Ram in many years and I am loyal to the brand and will not buy any other. This particular truck has been very good to me and gets decent gas mileage and the ride is excellent. Tons of room in the cab and even enough room for my 120 lb dog in the back seat
