If you can put up with a bit of diesel clatter (especially for a luxury car), it is worthwhile getting this diesel. The torque when overtaking, or going up hills even when fully loaded is amazing, better then many petrol 6 cylinders.
My best run measured 5L/100km fuel consumption, which would give me 1350km per tank if I could sustain that for the entire journey. However the engine being such a hard worker makes you want to step on it and feel the surge, so for a country drive, with some hills and overtaking, expect around 5.5-6.

Extremely good handling, quick response braking, although a diesel has a bit of lag when quickly accelerating.
The car looks very sporty for a four door saloon car. It is very fun to drive it, sporty when you want it, comfortable when you need it.

M-Sport pack makes the ride a little hard, but still an enjoyable car to drive, especially in the summer with the roof down

40 plus mpg even when driven hard ,great handling but beware of the back end in the wet ...it likes to kick !!!!
