Only had this car a few months, and I cant pick a fault with it. Got the 2.4 D5 version, old 163bhp as apposed to the newer 185bhp. Performance wise, im astonished by the amount of power this car puts out, the amount of times i find myself sat on the motorway doing 80mph, tickle the accelerator and its up to 100mph. The newer version of the S60 utilises those extra BHPs to give this car even more power! I cant really see the need, however for that older generation of Volvo drivers towing caravans it makes sense. Once again this car is no Ferrari, but for a 2.4 diesel it certainly does put some speed out when you want to. One slight criticism could be the 1st gear ratio, but thats just preference. Oh and i still cant bring myself to turn the DSTC (Traction Control) off, need and airfield for that wild ride. The interior of the S60 makes you feel cacooned, wrapped in the cockpit of the most luxurious fighter jet on the planet. The seats are unbelievably comfortable, and ive been very tempted to buy a set of ebay to turn into kitchen chairs! Ive done 4 hour straight journeys in this car and felt like ive just gone to the shops round the corner. The Dolby Pro Logic 2 Surround sound system is also superb and infact that good i havent bothered upgrading any part of it, which i was planning to do after the poor quality S40 stereo and speakers. And the centre speaker on the front dash is a very nice touch. Its certainly a long distance cruiser, built for comfort and ease of use. But for a diesel with a bit of power, more comfort than a 5 series, more reliable than a merc, and cheaper with most of the mod cons as standard it was the only decision for me.

I love my S60 2.5T-AWD! It has everything I need, good looks, dependability, AWD, great handling, and a sweet leather interior!

Very good acceleration; nice sturdy leather interior is worth it. Extremely comfortable ergonomic front seating. Great stability control with winter tires on ice. Back seat is cramped, even for kids. Few repairs needed in 4 years - just one bumper replaced after a hit and run (some big SUV backed into it by the looks of it - couldn't afford the hit to his insurance and ran). Good highway mileage, low maintenance. Fun to drive and safe. Lots of trunk!

Very under-rated car that scored very highly in the yearly JD Power surveys. Ive not had a day's trouble. Smooth auto box. Economical when driving sensibly and can get on with when reqiured. In fact, showed a true 138km/h top speed on my GPS. It has a very spacious boot, good sound system, very comfy seats with electric adjustment and memory and very safe handling. None of the torque steer issues of earlier Volvos. A bit cramped in rear.

Performance is a bit anemic, as it is the 2.0T, although when the turbo kicks in, it pulls nicely. I wish it was the 2.5T or the T5! Styling is very good, and so is build quality. Wish I could find the wicked S60R.
