RELIABLE! Even though only FWD, pretty good in snow. I have driven it to work in the east of Cleveland snow belt for over ten years. Always made it to work, even when my AWD co-workers could not. It is a great little car. At 220,000 miles, I now need new shocks. Just keep up with oil change and it will keep running.

This car has proven to be a dream! There is no lag in the acceleration or breaking. In fact, the acceleration can even be a bit touchy at times if you're not used to it. It comes with automatic traction control, but even when you turn it off, it still handles like a dream. In the few years that I've owned it I've only had to perform standard maintenance. It was taken to the dealership once to have the PCM replaced due to a factory recall. The interior is clean and simple with black leather seats. The exterior is a matching clean and basic in a bright red. It gets great gas mileage and the cost of maintenance has been little to none other than oil changes, filters and breaks. I love this car! It's functional and pet friendly with the plastic rear cargo space. The front passenger seat folds down, a feature which my daughter loves because she can feel like she's in the front seat while still safely secured in her booster.

Good car although cosmetically having a few issues for only being 6 years old. Highly recommend. Has motor and transmission from Toyota. 30 MPH. Perfect for basic transportation. 72000 miles and has a nice sporty appearance. I will never sell.

It's a sporty looking four door with cargo space, american model badging but a toyota drive train (motor and transmission) - which means it'll run for a long time and not get key'ed in my home town that builds GMC trucks. The cargo space is lined with hard plastic to keep it easy to clean, fold down the seats and you have enough room for an 8' ladder with the hatch closed. The motor and tranny are the same as the Toyota Corola. A peppy four cylinder sips gas at 33MPG highway and with a five speed manual - still lets you wind it out to the 6500 RPM redline quickly. Overall I like this car. It's not my favorite, but not close to getting rid of it even at 79K miles have ticked by.

The stylish sport wagon Pontiac Vibe blends SUV versatility with car-like handling and safety. With seating for four, the youth-oriented Vibe is packed with storage compartments. Both the rear seats and the front passenger seat fold down to offer up to eight feet of cargo space. The trunk features tie-downs and a track to which cargo can be attached. The 2005 Pontiac Vibe comes in base front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and GT trims. All are powered by a 1.8-liter I4 engine, but where the base model gets 130-hp, the AWD only gets 123-hp. The performance GT wagon has tuned the engine to receive 180-hp and adds 16-inch wheels and as sports suspension. The AWD features a 4-speed auto tran only, while the base model includes both the automatic and a 5-speed manual. On the GT, only a 6-speed manual is available. Power mirrors are the only power feature in the base model, but it does offer air conditioning and a CD player. ABS brakes become standard only with the AWD and GT trims, and are optional on the two-wheel drive base.
New for the 2005 Vibe is a revised front end. It also gets a lot more options this year, including Stabilitrak, side impact and side curtain airbags, and OnStar. A tire pressure monitor is also new, and it comes standard on the GT. Various packages add on power features, a sunroof, and satellite radio. Dealer-installed extras include rear and roof spoilers and a supercharger for the engine.
Owners of the 2005 Pontiac Vibe says it's roomy (both head and legs) and very comfortable. Though the engine is noisy upon acceleration, once you hit cruising speed, the Vibe is pretty fast. They love the fuel economy, cargo versatility, and slightly raised ride height. Aside from the acceleration issue, the other complaint focused on a poorly made cargo cover.
