Used 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class CL 65 AMG for Sale near Shreveport, LA

This was the first 12 cylinder car to ever call our garage home. Performance wise to was an all out powerhouse. With 604 horsepower and 738 ft-lbs this AMG was an absolute sleeper. To the average person it looked like any other mercedes which is kind of a pain considering its near 200k price tag.

The interior panels are a little on the cheap side. The door panel with the controls came loose twice. The center console has come loose once as well. Other then those two interior issues the rest of the car is in like new condition. I always garage it. But I drive it hard every now then. It's amazing that I can kill on the race track then drive to work in it the next day. I have had many cars but this is on my top of the list for performance and comfort. Update Review 9-2014 The CL65 still drives beautifully. The one thing I really notice is the deep rich sound of the engine really attracts attention. It is a wolf in sheep's clothing. You have this incredible race car hidden by a little non aggressive Mercedes body. I love it when some kid is in the lane next to me and is revving his engine with his new Mustang only to be left in the dust and become a a spot in my review mirror. I have three other Mercedes and I love the ergonomics on this one.when I reach for the seat belt it us exactly where my hand reaches unlike my other two that are kind of awkward. The navigation is not that intuitive like my others though. But since it is a little older I can cut them some slack. It consumes a little oil. about 1 qt every few months. But I drive it hard. The dealership said it is a non issue. I had a scare last month. I came out after not driving the car for a while. I was on vacation. The left side was drooping down. Oh crap. I can see the repair bill now. The dreaded ABC. I got int he car, started it up, still nothing, put it in reverse and it went right back to normal. No problems ever since. I guess it may have been lonely. One option I love is the seat cool down feature. It gets hot hair and one flick of the switch and my seats get nice and cool. They also heat up, but I never use that. I like the cold. My wife is the heater freak. Backseat issue. I treat this as a two seater since the back seats are kind of useless for grown men. However, I got two pretty big guys in the back when I unexpectedly had to take them across town. Trunk space is great. Lots of room. The automatic lift function has been giving me some trouble lately. It goes up but very slowly and when it goes down. It goes fast. Look out and get out of the way once you press the close button. A few times my key-less ignition would not start on the first push. I had to push it a few times to get it going. I had to buy new tires. I was burning rubber a little too much and those tires were bald. I was sliding all over the place in the rain. Put some new all weather tires on and it drives like a dream again in the rain. But it was scary as heck sliding around so much just because of some bald tires. I guess tread does serve a purpose.

The car has plenty of bells and whistles... A must-drive car. Love the 12 cylinders.
