It's a good car for a family sedan. The engine comes stock 136hp, 2.0L Durtec 20, dual overhead cam inline 4. Handles pretty well on wet or dry roads. According to Car and Driver Mag. 0 - 60 is a respectible 7.9s.

The limited times I have driven it yet were a joy. I have made small fixes with this car and it runs like a dream. It's very low maintenance cost car which is also easy to fix even for the average car owner capabilities.

Performance - slow accel, great braking and handling Quality - Top notch, well-built Appearance - Ergonomic, simple, easy to use, plain yet perfect, INCREDIBLE HEADROOM Cost of ownership - great gas mileage, no maintenance issues yet Fun Factor - Amazingly fun to drive, blast some tunes, feel comfortable!

My 05 Focus hasn't given me a single problem. With the 5 speed manual transmission, it is fun to drive. My other cars are Ford Mustangs which really turn heads, but my Focus gets just as many compliments. Fun car.
