2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4X4 6.6L Turbo HD LS with the Duramax Diesel has Allison automatic transmission, cloth seats, power heated outside rear mirrors that extend out for towing, dual climate controls, center console/armrest, electronic 4-wheel drive engagement, auto dimming rear view mirror, cruise, adjustable tilt steering wheel ABS 4 wheel disc brakes, and a whole lot more! My truck averages 20 mpg. The diesel engine always starts well in cold weather. Engine is quiet! Cab interior is quiet and road noise is very low. Comfortable seating, even for driving long distances. Visibility is good. Controls are within easy reach. The stereo audio sound quality is awesome (I enhanced mine)! Brake performance is good. Steering is responsive. Electronic transfer from 2WD to 4WD is seamless. Instrument panel clearly visible and well illuminated during night driving.

Great vehicle for heavy towing and hauling, but still practicle for me for everyday back and forth to work use. Only regret that didnt go with the duramax and allison combo.

Lots of power from a 8.0L Gas V8, tows just about anything, comfortable interior.

The truck has great towing power that is useful when going to the lake towing a boat. Also the extendable mirrors help to see with the trailer. It is a solid vehicle that has had pretty much no problems in the years i've had it. Its 4 wheel drive which also helps in the Kansas City snow. You can't get pushed around on the road with its size, the only drawback is the mileage isn't so good with its 8 inches of lift.
