I love the 3 panel covers in the rear - great to take one off and let the muddy dogs enjoy the ride in the rear while keeping the front of the truck clean. Also like the side compartments - can hold a ton of tools and safety gear. Really versatile, well designed vehicle. Very bummed they stopped making them.

After owning 6 cars and 3 trucks this one has had the least amount of issues, runs strong after 9 years, 125k miles. Very comfortable for long hauls, fits 4 Large men easily while pulling a 14' trailer full of motorcycles. Versatility of the rear window and seats to open the cargo area is awesome! The two built-in toolboxes that double as coolers for tailgating is absolutely genius.

The only thing that I have to complain about the truck is the low MPG's. Everything else is awesome. Handles great when towing, looks and drives good. Lots of cargo room in the back and a large back seat with plenty of leg room.

I love the Avalanche, except for the fact that I have put quite a few dollars in repairs, and for the fact that it is underpowered for what I need in towing power. For a single guy it is great. It looks great, sounds great (after an aftermarket exhaust), but for a famly of 4 with a 25 foot camper, no! I will be selling and upgrading to a 3/4 or 1 ton truck!
