(7 reviews)I like to be different...had to be turbocharged..had to be comfortable, had to be a wagon..has a fantastic sound system,Brembo brakes,Recaro style seats, 4WD,330 HP..0 to 100 in 5.5 seconds..a wolf in sheeps clothing...most of my friends hassle me about owning a Volvo but thats how I like it !
The performance of this car is good, the 5 cylinder motor run like a tank. The weight of the car is high so the brakes work very hard to stop. I like a lot the interior with the pro-logic sound system, i have a lot of space and a good comfort in the electric seats ( when you are sit, you feel like when you are at the dentist). The fun factor is high because you feel safe in this tank, with the station wagon, you can go with everything you want in the trunk. I go 3 years in this car everywhere in Quebec and US to do bike race, i feel relax and do a lot of kms, it's a cross country car.
Its a volvo wagon with 300 bhp, its a frickin tank. this thing is so fast and sounds so good and still gets 250 miles to a tank. looks could use improvement but its fast and sporty and its fun to drive. only complaint i have is that the steering is like wrestling a cobra, the wheel is stiff and has a narrow turn radius.
With 300 horsepower and 298 lb-feet of torque standard, the V70R is fun right from the start. Replace some OEM components with higher-spec parts from IPD, upgrade the engine management software, and you're talking 330 horses and 348 lb-feet; this is pavement-wrinkling output in a (relatively) inconspicuous wrapper! Inside, you'll find leather on the seats, of course, but also covering the instrument binnacle, three-quarters of the door panels (right down into and including the storage pockets), the center armrests both front and back, and not only the steering wheel rim (which many cars have) but also the center/airbag cover. And with the rear roof-edge spoiler visually lengthening the car's profile, despite it being a now-old design, it's still one of the best looking cars on the road. To put this car's power specs into context/perspective, consider this: in 2004, the year the R model was introduced, the normally-aspirated Porsche 911 had 315 horsepower and 268 lb-feet of torque!
Performance is incredible for such a big car very decieving for the souped up Fiesta trying to do you at the lights. Could have done being AWD like the R version just about as many horses to put on the road through the front wheels. Also it understeered because of the FWD and power. The build quality is pretty good. Solid car inside and out but by this time Ford own Volvo as such the pop up Sat nav can also be found in the Aston Martin Vanquish lol. The interior was fantastic the seats were sooo comfy it cruised as 120mph seeming like you were doing 50. This car was fully loaded great car for the family and dog also for carrying just about anything being an estate. Not a bad looking car big wheels nice green paint. Was very juicy around town but couldnt complain on a run.
