The CLK offers a great mix of timeless, elegant design, luxury and performance. The highlight of the car is the column-less design, high quality leather and wood in the interior design, and good overall performance in terms of quick acceleration (about 6 seconds to 60 mph) and handling. Moreover, I have not have a single problem with the car since I purchased it and the only cost to-date was to replace the tires and brakes after 5 years of use. Sure there is more performance oriented cars like the BMW 335i, the BMW M3 and the Audi S5. However, the BMW 3-series simply cannot match the quality, comfort and design from the CLK. Audi can but it took them many years to catch up with the A5 / S5 and their brand equity as a driver of resale value is still unknown in the U.S.

I have driven a lot of cars, and I will say hands down it is the best car I have ever driven. I miss this car so much i dream of it at nite. Even though the 550 has replaced the 500, I would buy a 500 used because I became so connected with handling of this acheivement of German engineering.

The 2004 CLK320 I own performs without any flaws. It has two settings one for comfort, the other for performance and you can tell the difference between the two. Its a more robust vehicle than the 2003 C230K I had previously. I think its styling is timeless, having generally straight lines devoid of any trendy styling gimmicks. Its a comfortable car to drive with a sporty side that you can use when needed. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone in the market for a couple from an upscale marquee.
