Solid car if you can find one rust free, offers plenty of comfort and space for the last big American sedan. My only gripe is the Automatic transmission. Otherwise you get the reliable and easy to maintain 4.6 V8 which offers enough power to get you where you need to. The town cars seats are extremely comfortable and you can realistically seat 6 people in the car with plenty of room. If you can find yourself a rust free example, you will have a car that will last you a long time.

The Town Car as a whole is a very reliable and safe car. They are easy to work on and are very reliable. Mine was totaled in a 60 mph car wreck and I came out without a scratch. I am going to miss it! I would highly recommend one for someone looking for a fun reliable car with class!

The Lincoln I drove was amazing. I never used more than 20% throttle, but you can definitely tell the power is there if you need it, as well as the breaking ability! You can feel the bumps in the road trough the steering wheel, but not the seats. The back seat passengers will have no idea when you run over a manhole cover. This car is quiet too! you can easily hold a conversation with some one in the back seat while your in the front. Everything felt solid to the touch, no flimsy plastic here! All leather or vinyl! If your looking for a car that can comfortably seat six adults and their luggage while getting better mileage than a suv, this might just be the car for you.

...thus venerable Panther platform Town Car offering has an outstandingly reliable 4.6 liter V8 and a bulletproof transmission and drive train... ....this combined with impressive fuel economy of 18 city and 25+ highway make this a solid choice for a daily driver...and on longer road trips, this large, comfortable sedan truly shines... .. and while this cars suspension thoroughly shelters its passengers from bumps and road noise, I would prefer a control for variable assist to the power steering that WAS a feature of the 1990-97 second generation Town Cars... ...this 3rd generation of Town Cars forms the backbone of Ececutive Car Services and Airport Livery companies; with many of these Town Cars racking up 400-500K miles, having their engines and trains rebuilt and continuing in service up to a million miles or more... ...now THATS a restimony to these great motor cars reliability...go get one!!
