While it was still categorized as the fourth generation of the ES series, which began in 2002, the renamed ES 330 announced the arrival of a larger engine. Other new features included larger side airbags, additional power adjustments for the front passenger seat, and adjustable memory pedals. The optional navigation system was also improved. A new 3.3 liter V-6 engine could found under the recently redesigned hood, which now made 225 horsepower and provided 240 pound-feet of torque.
