>> acceleration is very smooth, but might be too smooth for drivers who likes that sudden acceleration feel. >> handling is great despite the large size of this car. >> iDrive is a bit outdated for the current tech, but that is a given for tech these days. >> long drives with this car is great, I've taken this car to Vegas several tmes, ranging from 3hr to 5 hr drives each time, drives were great each time. >> very spacious even with 3 adults seated in the back. >> trunk space is so-so as this car is not really for hauling a bunch of stuff from costco. >> steering wheel is light, auto trunk open/close button, car door sucks in..., i love all that old ppl tech on this car!

This car has a lot to offer. Style, fun, comfort, options and a lot more than you'd want out of a car. Being at the top of the BMW class it does not let one down after he/she had to dig deep (really deep) into their pocket to get one. Although, the one I drove was the lowest at the top (760Li being the 'best'); this one wasn't a let-down at all. Having features such as one-touch start, suction doors, LOTS of leg room, and the usual massage power/leather/wood and navigation (except bigger); I really enjoyed the interior. From the outside this car is a promised attention-getter. With it's bi-xenon, projector head-lamps you'll be sure to notice one driving down the road. As far as the ride goes, it was fairly comfortable for a luxury. (For a normal car it is very comfortable but luxury cars are supposed to go that extra mile for the comfort, which this one stopped at about 1200 meters). Handling and braking is something BMW could work on with this one. Expect cost of maintenance to be "up-there" with all it's German parts. However, to it's German counterpart (Mercedes-Benz), after much research and experience I have found that BMW's are far cheaper to maintain. Gas mileage isn't TOO bad with it's 4.4L V8. Picks up and goes, but if you're usually in a big rush, I'd recommend the 760Li with it's V12 and over a 100k price tag. Overall a decent car. I've always been more of a MB guy but I don't think anybody can say no to a 745...even Rick 'Rowss'. (See lyrics for Hustlin' by Rick Ross).

this car is loaded so full with electronics it is almost too much for a car. the sound system is excellently balanced and has enough bass to satisfy me (immaculate quality), the leather is awesome.

Car is very fast and handles very well even with custom rims. But this car has a lot of maintenance issues due to advanced technology that BMW was not ready for. This car is very well made for a 2003 model.
