Good acceleration, very roomy, good handling and comfortable for long trips. Fuel economy is the weak point for this SUV. Excellent reliability, low maintenance cost, repairs and spare parts are very affordable. A great buy for. 2002 Toyota 4Runner SR5.

I recently had the trifecta lights come on. ENGINE light, TRAC OFF light, and VSC TRAC light. Hooked it up to a OBD2 monitor and gave me code P0302 cylinder 2 misfire detected. DTC severity 2 of 3. Repair immediately if drivability issues are present. I’ve changed out the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and ignition coils. A mechanic did a compression test and said the compression was low at 70. Wondering if I should do a top end job or if it can be some other issue. Any suggestions?

I would buy another one in a heart beat. Its a great suv. Never left me stranded, has over 150k on it and never has even had a check engine light. awsome!!! Can't really be happier than that when you buy a used car.

The 4Runner replaces as a tow vehicle a 5.9 Durango AWD with limited slip differentials, tow package, and the lower 3.92 gearing, so it had some pretty big shoes to fill. The 4Runner is way more reliable and able to pull long and hard without destroying the automatic transmission, but at the end of the day, it's limited by its 3.4 liter V6.
