Used 2002 Jaguar X-TYPE 2.5L AWD for Sale near Lagrange, GA
4.4 Overall rating
(19 reviews)Love my Jag, it suits me and my life style perfectly. The size is perfect with the comfort of taking out friends with its spacious passenger compartment, yet compact enough to feel the sporty aspect of the car. The handling is awesome and the 2.5 is enough power for me.
good performance, small fuel tank nice interior and well made timeless shape looks good from every angle alot of car for not alot of money puts a smile on my face every day but go for black leather, not dove
Its a good car. Its safe and feels sturdy. There is a bit of a throttle lag although it does not have a turbo. There is a bit of maintainence, but it is a fun car to drive and I love people watching as I drive.
Excellent handling. Absolutely erases snow and icy roads in winter. comfortable on long trips. 23 mpg City, 30.5 mpg highway, very good for a 3,600 lb car with all wheel drive. These are known to have problem with water intrusion onto and into the EFI computer due to improper reinstallation of or broken scuttle cowl. This causes loss of throttle input, message center reading DSC failure, transmission fault, & cruise not available. Easily fixed by correctly sealing the scuttle to tightly seat against the passenger side windshield with clear silicone under the scuttle.
Performance: Car could use some more horsepower, it'll get up and move but the power zone is more towards the middle of the gear; you won't get any real pick up until after 3K rpms. Braking is good and handling is alright. Build quality: It acts as though the seal around the door is broke. It keeps water out but sounds loud and acts like the wind is whistling through it. Appearance: All around it's ok, it's not gorgeous and it isn't ugly. Cost of ownership: PAINFUL, the gas mileage is lacking....seriously lacking, then there is the fact that anytime you have to have the car looked at it's going to be over $100. Fun factor: It's fun...if you're looking to rub it in to a friend that you have more money than they do, but if you want to beat them in a race, get something with more power cause this car is a old man's car.
