This is really a nice car. I bought it new and drove it for 105,000. No problems. I was able to replace my brakes (rotors & pads) without any problems. This car rides like a Benz. Very roomy and comfortable

like the comfortable ride , dislike weak transmission,very economical ,very inexpensive to fix,car handles very well ,manages to get around in bad weather quite impressively,the Taurus seems to be one of fords strongest car brand this car is a real workhorse dispite its setbacks it is a very great car to own

Leaks fluids at 226000 miles. Burns oil.Trans rebiuld at 127000 miles.Coil went bad. Crank shaft positioning sensor went bad. I bought at 40k and now have 226k. Overall there are maintanence issues but it have been fairly inexpensive fixes (other than transmo and inside tie rod ends) that I did myself.
