Performance: When tuned up properly and serviced regularly, even tho' it's only a "low pressure" Turbo, it ROCKS! Build Quality: What you would expect from the "entry level" of the Volvo line...it tries hard to look more upscale than it is, and pulls it off....nice fake wood! Apperance: love the fact it looks like a "generic (read "boring") family wagon.....that will just eat up boy racer types for dinner! Cost of ownership: Premium gasoline only is the biggest drawback, but then again, the cost of having the turbo pulled and cleaned on a regular basis if you run it on regular octane is more expensive in the long run. Fun Factor: a definite "10"...comfy when you need it to be, nippy when you want it to be..with room for the whole family and a bunch of gear too...nice enough for the coutry club, but not out of place country camping. *EXTRA INFO: A few little quirks and issues: After 9 years of rough daily use, push buttons seem to stick a bit (Trunk latch, locks, hazards, winter-mode button), but probably not too bad for a car that only gets washed and cleaned 2 times a year. Biggest fault...the cup under the springs on the rear coil overs could do with a few extra drainage holes...they tend to collect all that nasty Canadian road salt spray and rust out the bottom of the springs....Changed tham twice in the last 6 years. (maybe its a hint to wash the car more!)

Performance is great and can get better if you spend some euros. Exterior is nothing special, but that is just a good thing. You won't get the wrong kind attention... Overall this is a fun car to drive and it has sleeper potential.

Lots of turbo lag at low rpms. Confort in driver seat is les than desireable, all the others are perfect. Only seats two adults in back, but what do you expect from a entry level sedan wagon. But once it reaches the 3 thousand rpm range watch out it can hold its own. My other car is a s60T. No where near as smooth as the larger of the two. Nice leather few hard plastics, tries to act like a luxury but just cant make it. Love the car reliable after 120,000 miles. Make shure u keep fluids fresh trust me. Ride is rough on dirt dont even try. Love it all in all perfect city and highway vehicle, for a couple or a family with one kid. Sorry to keep ranting. I could go on for days.
