About 2001 Toyota Camry Solara
The Toyota Camry Solara was virtually unchanged in 2001. A new color was added to the choices, but other than that, the 2001 Camry Solara is identical to the 2000. The 2001 Camry Solara came in two trim levels: the base SE and the well-appointed SLE. The SE comes standard with a 2.2 liter, four-cylinder engine, and the SLE comes standard with a V6, 3.0-liter engine. Unlike its competitors the Honda Accord and the Chrysler Sebring, the 2000 Camry Solara was available with a five-speed manual transmission with the V6 engine. Fuel economy is about 20 to 30 miles per gallon depending on the engine. It is also available as a convertible. Fans of the 2001 Toyota Camry Solara love that it offers typical Camry reliability and quality, but with a sportier look and feel. The interior is roomy enough for a coupe, and the trunk is a good size. One request from drivers was a remote trunk release.
