Used 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT for Sale near Danville, VA
4.2 Overall rating
(31 reviews)The 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. This is a transporter that lives up to its domestic heritage and more. Domestics have been known for their power and size - lots of passenger space and trunk space. All the creature comforts a man needs to become one with his machine and ergonomics to keep up with the Europeans. Good styling and great looking to rival the Japanese and European competition. Handling is quite responsive and acceleration is quite good - with the potential of adding a supercharger. The Series II 3.8L powerplant has the ability to be efficient on gas mileage if one is able to resist the urge to race between destinations with or without TCS aka Launch Control. Winter handling is improved with traction control and anti-lock brakes, however this front wheel drive like so many others has a tendency to understeer on icy roads when exceeding the safe speed limit - also the low ground clearance makes this a good candidate to retire for the winter months. I'd own a second one of these should the opportunity arise - this second one with a Ram Air Hood Scoop & Intake Package and a Supercharger.
I love the power of the 3.8 liter V-6 engine. It definitely has the good pickup I enjoy, but is easy to drive at the same time. Tons of room even though I am quite tall and has plenty of space in the back seats.
Comfterable dailey driver , hard to find aftermarket parts for it , but the hunt makes it that much more rewarding , 3.8L v6 has adaquate power and amazing reliability and durability very apealing appearance wise , in my opinion , i have had comments that doing up a "family sedan" is lame but how many grocery getter hondas r out there?
Good fuel economy, fast pickup. Nice handling car.
Iti is pretty fast, and looks good going slow.
