My truck is a 2001 Ram 2500 with the 8 liter V10 powerplant. It also has a 5 speed manual transmission coupled to the beast. This truck hauls and tows very nicely and I rarely need to downshift on hills. Gas mileage is as expected with a V10. Not so great. I get about 9 MPG in town and about 14 on the highway. HIGHLY recommend a Dodge Ram to anyone wanting a truck.

5.9L Cummins ISB diesel Ram 2500. What more needs to be said? After some (necessary) fueling upgrades including an aftermarket lift pump and fuel injection pump, she ran like a top forever. With a high-end programmer, she made an insane amount of power for an older truck.

I dislike the rust that forms when the truck gets old. Long lasting, lots of miles on the truck and still rolling. Gets good fuel mileage loaded or empty. I wish I had a bigger cab, the extended cab is small for a family.

Build reduced only for inferior quality of interior furnishing. Big burly dependable ride, which fits my personality, and packs the punch when required. Being diesel and manual transmission the mileage is quite acceptable for such a heavy vehicle. Towing capacity, and carrying capacity both exceed what is needed (Which is good). Reliability of mechanical parts is quite acceptable, no unexpected breakdowns so far. Great masculine ride ;)

A tank of a truck. Great vehicle to use for towing and hauling. Very spacious interior for a extended cab. With the addition of a performance chip, you can boost horsepower and torque, really opening the potential of this truck. But watch out for costly repairs to the drivetrain.
