The car isn't poorly built.. the only thing is paint. The Neon isn't the fastest but its fun to zip around in. It's pretty cheap not too expensive. I think this car is fun to drive. It could be worse.

This car was problem free for the first 100,000 miles, but now I'm having problems with corrosion killing parts of it little by little. I do live in Michigan, so that is a problem for a lot of cars. I think this generation is the best looking Neon; the first gen was a little small and the cars at the end of the second gen had an ugly Chrysler grill. Gas mileage isn't bad, but you won't get top performance out of the car either.

Cheap operation costs, easy to get parts, simplicity in design and construction. Controls are in easy reach and placed w thought. No real blind spots to complain about. The microscopic cup holders that will create a soda tsunami due to underdash placement or the center concole one that will most defeanitly start the wife complaining when you swipe it.
