This was my first grown- up car, but let me stress not too grown up. As an Architect the design is very important to me. The car is beautifully, simple modern, tight and lovely. VW has left me in a bind as the new Passats are bit frumpy & too soft in the ride- no longer just grown up, but middle age. The 2000 is comfortable for long road trip and city commutes. The V6 holds a lot of Zippity do. After 15 years and 175,000 very tough city miles-Johann will be a third back up car. This has been my favorite VW above all we have owned including a Cabriolet, Golf, Jetta and (2) V6 Passat wagons. I love this car!

The handling is great and acceleration is more responsive than a Mustang. The interior is so nice and the stock speakers have great bass to them. I love driving this on windy roads because of the German sports car feel to it

This car is pretty good. Some problems with the brake sensors. Manual transmission is (Y). And this car is not as cheap as other VW cars but is cheaper than an Audi or a BMW. Comfortable and funny car. The end.
