Good well built car. Parts last quite a while but are expensive to replace when broken. Not alot of power from the factory but with upgraded injector nozzels it drives great. Awesome car for a base plateform to build power

All TDI owners know what you buy a TDI for: Fuel Economy. With the cost of fuel continually increasing, the TDI is a great way to beat the price of fuel. The TDI gets anywhere from 40-50 MPG depending on transmission choice, how you drive it and if the car is in need of service. The interior is adequate for a small car, though the backseat is cramped. There is plenty of trunk space and a decent audio system. The engine has plenty of low end torque, but the power tends to top off after 3000-4000 RPM not gaining much. 5 Speed manual recommended.

400,000 kms, 4.9 L per 100 k's. Chipped and nozzled, 130 hp at the wheels. My favorite highway ride of all time. And yup, its fun to drive. Cost of timing belts is a lot if you don't do the work yourself.
