For the 2000 model year, the Volkswagen EuroVan was largely unchanged from the previous year, receiving only a few minor feature upgrades. Two trim packages were available. The EuroVan GLS came with power windows, power door locks, cruise control, air conditioning, anti-lock brakes, traction control, and dual airbags. Remote central locking and tinted windows were among the new features, while options included heated front seats and a sunroof.

The EuroVan MV (Multivan) was equipped with a rear bench that converted into a bed and rearward-facing bucket seats in the middle row. The MV could also be outfitted to resemble the old Campmobile, with a refrigerator, bed, and pop-up roof.

Both versions were powered by a 140-horsepower, 2.8-liter V6 engine, which was linked to a four-speed automatic transmission. A manual transmission was not available.

Although the EuroVan's horsepower had been improved a year earlier, many drivers felt the van was still underpowered, and some noted that it needed frequent repairs. However, drivers also appreciated the EuroVan for its uniqueness, roominess, handing, and ride quality.
