The 2000 Toyota Rav4 maintained its popularity as Toyota's entry into the small SUV market. No longer available as a soft-top, drivers must decide between a 2- or 4-door hard top with 2- or 4-wheel drive. Many reviewers recommend getting the AWD, citing the lack of grip in the 2-wheel. Many have complained that the car is too small to comfortably seat four adults, and certainly small for four adults with luggage. However, it is a great SUV for a couple or couple with children. Mileage is great at about 26 averaged between city and highway.
