These particular 4runners are still in high demand for starter SUVs or that 4WD enthusiast wanting a little more room than a Jeep. The electronic Differential control works well for occasional off roading or boat ramps. The seating wears well and can be easily maintained or replaced at a very low cost if required. Maintenance on toyota trucks is legendarily affordable and many owners are getting in excess of 400K miles out of the truck with routine maintenance. These factors combine to provide a great all around SUV, and for the money, it's a steal.

I love the Toyota quality. I love that the seats fit me just perfectly. The much maligned seating position actually works for me. The best thing is the roll-down rear window. No other vehicle comes as close to open air cruising except the Del Sol. Open the sunroof and the back window, and you get 90% of the cooling of windows with 20% of the noise!
