As for a couple other key stats, this SUV gets 16 mpg in the city, 20 mpg on the highway, and can tow 5600 lbs. Finally, the 2000 Envoy has 4 doors and seats 5. Overall, the critics agree that the 2000 GMC Envoy carried an outdated design in need of an update. While the standard features make this SUV more appealing, they can't overcome a weak powertrain and occasionally rough handling. If you need an Envoy with more juice and don't mind paying more for it, look for models from 2002 or later.
