The design lines of this model are nearly flawless. The interior is authentic with a true theme of roadster. Engine performance meets the aggressive requirements of a sports car

Last of the analog BMW’s. No sensors, infotainment or cameras. Old school naturally aspirated no forced induction. Pure driving experience.

If you have a soft spot for the old big engined English roadsters like TR 6's and big Healey's, then this car will make you smile every time you see it, hear it, and drive it. Best of all, all the hassles those old cars forced on you like dodgy quality, high maintenance needs, and questionable ergonomics are simply not part of the equation here. While Miata's fill a part of traditional sports car market, this car slots cleanly above the Mazda in materials quality, character, and engine performance. That said , while Miatas might haunt autocrosses, the M Roadster is better suited to tooling around on perfect afternoons...it can get a little squirrely as you feel that understeer, short wheelbase, and torque begin to argue with one another. Still, if you want an inexpensive, fun, stylish, well-built, and well engineered sports car...a used Z3 M Roadster is a great choice.

Owned for only one month and so far the car has been great.Looks good fun to drive and the performance is outstanding. For the price also a good value and plan to keep long term. The only negative that comes to mind is the radio will be changing it out.The code display is on so its needs to be entered to work.Even though its a BMW radio it’s not the original and It has to be removed to see serial number and research code that way. However who put a cassette player in a 2000 model. Also the code system is for theft prevention but of someone steals it there not going to return it because they don’t have the code so go figure.
