Reviewed a 1999 Mercury Hatchback FWD on Feb 10, 2008

Great handling short wheelbase car, powered by a reliable Ford 2L Zetec. Easily modified for performance, all of the 4cyl. models come in a manual transmission. The uni-body design and simple nonindependent front and rear suspensions made for easy upgrading. Overall great little zippy American made car.

A great looking car, comes with air con and sun roof as standard. Spacious in the front and at the back, huge boot and reasonable fuel economy (bearing in mind its age!) Even if it's a bit slow for its fast looks, I thoroughly enjoy driving her.
