This car is a fun little car that you can drive (conservatively) like a sports car. with a good set of tires it breaks well and has a bit of a kick (with a standard). when it comes to cornering you really cant just do whatever. this is a car that you must learn and have to plan every corner if if you want to rip it. i you make a mistake this car will always under steer. if you nail it it can offer a good amount of g force that would be expected from a car of this class.

The automatic I4 models from around the '99 model year have known problems with the transmission. Mazda used a weaker transmission from the Ford Probe in this model. As a result, I had to get the transmission replaced no less than 3 times before getting rid of the piece.
