Overview

Besides an optional massaging lumbar driver's seat in the STS, Cadillac added nothing new to the 1999 Cadillac Seville. The SLS and STS remain as the 2 trims. This midsize sedan seats 5 and has 4 doors. In addition, the Seville uses a 4.6 L V8 engine with 4 speed automatic transmission. The main difference between the trims comes from the horses under the hood. The SLS comes in at 275 hp while the sportier and more powerful STS comes in at 300 hp. Both the SLS and STS get you 17 mpg in the city, 26 mpg on the highway. Standard features include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, leather seats, power seats, cd player, ABS brakes, and traction control. Sunroof comes as an option. With little to no change from the previous year, the 1999 Cadillac Seville left itself open to the same questions about its durability and maintenance. Consumers consistently mention the high expense involved in upkeep despite the car's elegant appearance and quality performance. As with other Sevilles from the mid to late '90's, make sure your model has a clean bill of health before you buy.

Since it's still got a new engine with only 60K on it, it takes off in a flash. The Corsa Performance Exhaust System that has been installed gives it a nice loud roar wen launched. The exterior has a micro dent here and there and tar is stuck on the bottom skirts. The only interior defect is the drivers seat; it appears fairly worn but still in great condition. The heated seats make for a pleasant ride on cold days. The gas mileage is around 19 combined and I only put premium gas in it. Overall, this is a great sporty car. Old men don't deserve cars with this much horsepower.

I love it. But the price for its age I feel is too much

Well to be honest i haven't driven it at all really, but so far what i can say about it is that if your going to fix it yourself it's not that bad. the cost of parts is a bit steep i will admit but being a big car there is a lot of room to work. The overall build quality of this car is a bit low if I'm honest. On my car both rear window motors don't work, the power steering pump is shot, the power moonroof doesn't work, all the lights in the center console don't work and so on. (mind you the car does have 224,000 miles on it, i bought it that way so no i didn't drive all of those) apart from that though it's good for a luxury car thats 10 years old. if your looking for something fun to drive i would recomend something with rear wheel drive but if you want 300 horsepower there isn't much else chose in the price range.
