Used 1998 Toyota Corolla VE for Sale near Chicago, IL

Performance: Reasonably nippy for a 1.6, brakes good, handles good on lowered suspension and 17" alloys. Build Quality: Very Good, even air con worked well. Appearence: Sits well on big wheels and low suspension with subtle TRD bodykit. Cost of Ownership: Cheap to run. Fun Factor: Lots of fun with very loud exhaust setting car alarms off.

Toyota is a really great car actually, especially if you are going to buy a used one! They tend to have noisy heaters though, especially the older they get. And if your car is before 98 you will have a timing belt which needs to be changed around 150,000 km. 98 and up its a timing chain so those last forever.

love the reliability, but needs power locks and windows. great all around car for comfort, fuel economy. drives like a new car at 165000km. factory stereo with 2 speakers even sounds good still. everything works as new. we all should drive one

i love everything of this car....just need to change the transmission....its got body kit,rims,sound system,,hks carbon exhaust system,gauge meter,Xenon lights..many things that everybody wishes for...i really love my car...its for my life

chilled ryd... used to take it for xul, runnin errands, with this car ryt hur i perfected ma driftin skill and i made the handbreal turn wat it z yae. this car is fun to drv but problem was mym was automatic so you really do get the driven excitment
