Used 1997 Toyota RAV4 4 Door AWD for Sale near Grand Forks, ND

I was happy with this car since day one! I had researched Rav4's before purchasing a 97 in 1999. She was always reliable, safe, and without any major issues until she was older, which is why I ended up selling her. Best of all, she was SO fun to drive. I would purchase another RAV4 again, in a heartbeat! And I did in Jan 2012 (this review has been edited since original post)! I researched again, and bought a 2005, which I also love. Rav4's are just great overall!

Great Cute Suv from Toyota. 1st Generation was the smallest and still very popular. A very solid vehicle.

Our 1997 RAV4 was a workhorse. It would probably have lasted forever, except we loaned it to a friend of our son who didn't check the oil when the oil light came on. We logged over 150,000 miles on it with nothing more than routine service, and it had 32K on it when we bought it. We drove it from home out to Montana one year, and other than being a little slow going up grade, it was a fun "little" SUV. We went camping often, and it stowed a lot of gear and carried our kayaks on top. It was a little small on leg room in front and back, but then I'm pretty tall (over 6'5"). We live up a small hill, and we never had a problem with traction in the winter, while others were spinning their wheels. I haven't driven any of the newer RAV4's, but the 1997 was a great car.

I am most pleased with this car...little trouble, always started in winter in Wisconsin...maintain excellent, oil changed every 2500 miles, excellent brakes, good transmission, air condition...excellent tires, wheel alignment, great gas mileage, brakes new, ball joints replaced, exhaust system replaced, the car accelerate fastly...safe driving car, comfortable ride...this is a great fun car to drive.

i like almost everything i wish it seated more ppl and the trunk was bigger this way i could have more people in the truck and i would have more room to lug things in the back with all the people in there as well
