Used 1997 Nissan Maxima GXE for Sale near Fredericksburg, VA
3.9 Overall rating
(8 reviews)Great everyday vehicle. Bought it with about 65k, 5 years later now at 151k.. Never needed anything but brakes and tires till this year.. Replaced calipers, rotors, pads, ball joints, pass half shaft, all o2 sensors (3 of them), knock sensor, mid pipe and muffler, heated seat switches, starter, alternator, and battery, and more can't recall at the moment.. All worth it, this car runs perfect, always did, most of the things replaced were for inspection and emmissions. Car throws no codes. Of course the usual places are wearing out (edge of seat, few dings on body), but no rust, everything inside and outside works, power and heated seats, power antenna, and sunroof/moonroof.. I would trust my maxima to drive cross country, this 3.0 liter is fun to drive, never been so satisfied with this maxima. probaly gonna buy a new or late model maxima eventually
performance- is ok it could be better it's getting old. Breaking is the best. As for handling... its getting better Build Quality- well since i got the car used ... the more i try to fix it the more i find things wrong with it. Appearance- my interior is clean whenever i have a chance to have it cleaned. EXTERIOR well that's a story i dont want to get in to if you know my car then you know why (ROOF) Cost of Ownership- the gas mileage is fair for the age Fun Factor- (-__-) what can say... its a sedan
This car was one of my favorites! It had a 5-speed manual and was a joy to drive! It lasted me 4 years, about 70,000 miles and it wasn't quitting! Sold it to another young and happy guy, and i*m still looking for it on the road somewhere! I miss it!
loved it :D quick good torque decent handling sucked that it was auto and that my car was a rebuilt title. allright on gas. paint sucked and the car i had was less than stellar, Id totally get another one if i had found it in better condition.
does not accelerate well. sometimes has trouble going from 2nd to 3rd. it is purple and has cloth interior. however has the ability to do a burn out on a fun day.
