pretty good car, as you can see it got in a crash, that was before i bought it, and it still ran like a dream. at one point the breaks went out on it (i knew it was going to happen just couldn't afford to fix it at the time) and my girlfriend got in another car crash, smashed the front end in pretty good. bent the hood back used a winch to pull the front end back out and it still ran like a dream for a while. also forgot to mention this car had almost 250,000 miles on it when i got it and was driving like it had 25 miles on it aside from the body damage lol

performance, excellent engine, cornering is very good, good reaction for the steering, it looks good for a 1997, cause it came with the chrome and luxury package, easy to drive and affordable to maintain. car has lots of pick up on the torque

Performance was about what I expected for it age and mileage it has, but has proven to be a pretty sturdy little sedan. Since purchasing the car a couple of months ago I've just had to do the regular maintenance on it. When it came to repairing the brakes I wish that Nissan would have gone a different route with the rear disk brake caliper set up as with age and the amount of rust that built up from it being an Idaho car took its toll on the caliper piston in preventing it from twisting back into the boar. The Maxima is cheap to upkeep with with the exception of the rear calipers being expensive because they are the e- brake/foot brake comb set up, but other than that it's been the second cheapest car I've owned.
