For truck that weighs over 4,000 pounds, the acceleration is phenomenal. I have clocked myself at about 7.0 seconds from 0- 60. The other surprising thing considering its weight is how well it brakes. It has saved me from a handful of accidents because of its stopping power. Towing and load carrying abilities are excellent for its class. I have loaded that thing up, plus towed a trailer and it still accelerates on climbs. The biggest downside to this vehicle is the gas mileage with a max of 14 stock. With a new muffler to replace the old one, I have seen mileage increase a mile and a half to 2 miles per gallon. With my odometer reading at under 60,000, I'm convinced that I will be able to keep the truck that I got from my Granddad for a long time.

the truck is the last year of the inline 6 cylender. it also has the 5 speed manual so it has the best gas milage of all the trucks i have ever driven. she hasnt had an engine rebuild yet and has over 250000 miles on it and is still running strong. she is a sand stone color so its very easy to maintain.

I love everything about it, except how much gas it uses. Hyper Tech max energy programmer is the best money I have ever spent on it. This truck has never left me stranded, and it never will. Put this thing into 4x4 and watch the mud fly! Blue Oval for Life!!!

I love this truck, very very reliable, parts are inexpensive, lots of low end torque. It has an 4.9L I-6 engine, which is basically unstoppable. Great fun to go mudding in also. I purchased it stock and put on the lift and tires, roll bar, grill guard, basically everything in the pic. Hopefully it gets a fresh coat of black paint soon to finish it off. Mpg is a def negative though....
