Used 1996 Chevrolet S-10 for Sale near North Charleston, SC
3.6 Overall rating
(5 reviews)Plenty of power with the 2.2 four cylinder. It gets Good gas mileage, drives and rides well in town and or on the highway for a small truck. Low cost to operate and maintain. All around reliable small truck. Great truck..........
performance: k&n cold air intake, custom exhaust build: 4link appearance: blah needs paint, tinted out lights, lowered cost a lott fun factor: lowered 5"front 7"rear on suspension, air ride, 10 switch, custom sound system, tv/dvd head unit
200$ needs breaks and a box and ill be runnin the roads. friend has a sonoma ( same truck ) with a 2.2 i wish there was a way to keep the fuel down and performace up some more might work a little better maybe a 2.0l turbo sunbird motor in the future
I honestly think it's too small for my liking. I do not own the truck but my grandfather allows the use of it all the time. lol. Honestly, if it were mine, I'd sell it and buy a 1500 4x4. This truck doesn't look horrible, but not great either. This is a strong truck for being it's size. The biggest problem with the truck is a head gasket leak. It should be fixed here before long, or there's gonna be an even bigger problem. I haven't opened up the throttle, but i'm shure this thing could get going in a hurry if you need it to. There is a small squeak coming from alternator pully i beleve. It seems to do pretty good on the road. Like all small trucks, the shocks are a bit stiff. Other than that, it's fine. The braking ,however, is not the greatest...it wont apply pressure until the pedal is about 3/4 of the way to the floor! The frame isn't too rusty, but the brake lines sure are. I'm starting to beleve that the rusty lines are causing the poor braking. A couple of new lines and if it comes down to it, a new master cylinder and it'll be good! There are a few relay problems I must note. When the high beams are OFF, the light in the cluster shows thaat they are on, then when the highs are ON the cluster shows they are off. The cluster also is stating that the parking brake is ON when it is OFF. And ever since i've been in that truck, the ABS light is on at all times. That would be the wire going from the front passenger side brake to the relays. I'm thinking that that wire being disconnected is what is causing the parking brake light to stay on as well.
