People like this "sexy" little two-seater and the removable roof.
It is no longer the Civic del Sol, but the Honda del Sol - making it clear to the public that Honda wants to promote the "sport" in this sports car.
It is still reliable, economical, and practical with plenty of storage in the trunk. The seating is comfortable and the low ride to the ground makes it exciting to drive. The 1995 del Sol is priced at around $5,000 to $6,250, and most drivers are holding on to their cars. Is there any better testimony than that?

(34 reviews)I absolutely love my 1995 Honda Del Sol. It's a little 2 seater 1.6L 4cyl. V-tec that is a blast to drive. Mine is black on a black and red interior and looks good all the time. The 4cyl. engine packs a lot of power for its size, it has 160 horses but only 111 torque. If you ask me it would be nice to have a little more torque but none the less it's still pretty quick. The car handles beautifully and sticks to the road well with its low center of gravity. Being a Honda I'm glad to say that i haven't had to do a lot of repairs on it. As long as i keep everything up on it like oil changes and fluids it doesn't have any problems. The car gets great gas mileage, it has a 10.5 gallon tank that will last me 350 to 400 miles if i don't run the car hard. It's a fun and exciting car to drive and would be a blast for anyone.
This car rocks. fwd honda with a lil kick. SOHC gives great fuel mileage. Performance is great with VTEC :D Hondas are cheap and only 20 bucks to fill up!! This car is hella fun to drive with the targa off in the summer :D
I owned a new 1994 del Sol VTEC for 3 years. I loved it! When I wanted to get rid of my Explorer, I searched for the perfect "new" del Sol. I love it! The acceleration is excellent, it turns on a dime, looks great, fun, fun, fun! The trunk is huge - not something most people expect from a small car. Very low to the ground. Handles ike a charm. Great gas mileage. Easy to wash - the top of the car is easy to get to, even for me at 5'2".
I love my Del Sol! Its reliable and easy to maintain. Parts and maintenance are affordable. For a small car its fun on long trips, seats are comfortable and having the removable targa top is a blast! I get a lot of people wanting to know about the car, most have never heard of one. Only thing I would change would be to make it RWD and have a 6 speed manual instead of a 5.
light car makes turns at a very quick speed. handing is awesome, not very fast but can be quick in turns. good on gas very fun to take on roads with many turns. very easy to work on everything is simple and easy to get to. parts can be found anywhere at a low price for high quaility
