Perhaps the LA Lakers would not find this car comfortable, but the 1995 Dodge Intrepid easily sits five or six adult passengers in a roomy interior that allows for plenty of leg room in both front and back. A spacious trunk offers plenty of storage. It has a luxuriously sporty look that lets you ride in both comfort and style.
The four-door sedan comes standard with a 3.3-liter, 161-hp V6 in either the base and ES trims, with an optional 3.5-liter, 214-hp V6, accompanied with a 4-speed automatic transmission that is a cousin of Dodge's Ultradrive transmission.
Despite a long list of repairs, that include the air conditioning, transmission, and water pump, a lot of owners love their Intrepid for its roominess and smooth quiet ride. The 3.5 V6 engine gives the four-door sedan a lot of kick and energy on the road, satisfying the lead-foot in all of us. Owners complain that the transmission problems might stem from the transmission not being matched properly to the engine.

(15 reviews)A great first car. 4 speed automatic with power windows, locks, steering, ABS, and traction control. A very easy car to work on, and great for learning the ins and outs of performing proper maintenence on a car.
Acceleration is surprisingly decent, brakes are a little spongy though.
great first car 150,000 miles all original parts. got a ticket in it for squealing the tires, in a front wheel drive vehicle. needed to replace 1 tie rod end but could have drove it without the change, great car
It is a good car. It acceleration is good and braking is good if you have good brakes or renew them. It handles pretty well. It needed repairs only because the parts were getting old or I broke them >_>. I love teh appearance, sure it is not as nice as a Mustang or a Corvette, but for a cheaper car it is pretty nice looking. I actually prefer the older to the newer because it actually is more unique and not a bubble like most newer cars look like now. It has low mileage for its age. i got it with about 100 thousand miles and now it is 102. It is fun to drive because I love my car!
Decent car that holds its own. Recieved it at 175,000 miles and ran it up to 196,000+ miles before I was rearended. Most of the problem was oil leaked from almost everywhere it could on the engine. Leaking oil seemed to seal everything off though. No good for driving in winter, but wide tires and and low stance gives it surprising handling. Transmission wined, leaked oil, and had bad rust around the lock on the trunk. Good times can be had though.
