Though slightly pricier and thirstier than its competitors, the Toyota Pickup is a capable truck backed by a stellar reputation for reliability.

Once strictly viewed as mechanized workhorses built for farm and industrial duty, trucks continue to evolve into multi-purpose daily drivers. Despite tough competition, the Toyota Pickup remains a reliable favorite amongst a compact class full of Rangers, S10s, Dakotas, and Nissan Hardbodys.

For 1994, the Toyota Pickup is available in base, DX (Deluxe), and SR5 V6 trim levels with rear-wheel-drive (RWD) or four-wheel-drive (4WD) capability, regular- and extended-cab (Xtra Cab) body styles, and a single standard-length bed (the long bed has been discontinued).

An all-new replacement for the Pickup, dubbed the Toyota Tacoma, is expected for the 1995 model year.
