only had the 1.8 I believe, single over head cam, with surprising performance. good sold car, I commuted and abused it and it held up good and strong

No review yet although I have to put in 40 words, so I'll just keep on typing until I get there. The car is good, bought it for $500 from a friend, can't complain. Almost at 200k miles. Seatbelt carriage thing stopped working.

Ahh...The 1994 Protege...Lets reflect on this a second.......I really have no good things to say. I really do not like the car. The only positive I got out of it was that I averaged around 30 mpg on the high way. It is shaky, not fast at all, have had to repair all the time, lots of squeaks and rattles, ugly as sin, poor interior quality, and its not fun to duck down so people don't see you driving it. I wouldn't buy another mazda in general. (an RX-7 or 8 being the exception)
