First introduced in 1968, the Audi 100 had survived platform changes, unwarranted bad press, and innovative design features. This classy representative of the modern age of Audi would bid farewell in 1994, leaving as its legacy both a four door sedan and station wagon that offered up luxury and driving pleasure in a safe and solid, yet stylish body.
In 1994, the base model sedan was dropped, leaving only the 100S and CS sedans, powered by the 2.8-liter, 172-hp V6 engine and 4-speed auto tran. The 1994 Audi 100 wagon, previously only available as a CS quattro, was now available in front-wheel drive. Both wagons had the same 2.8 V6 engine and 4-speed auto tran. The CS quattro sedan came with a 5-speed automatic.
Having built a reputation for its reliability, strength, nimble handling, and extraordinarily quiet ride, the 1994 Audi 100 had come to symbolize the smooth buttery luxury desired in an upscale family or business car. Drivers agree the quattro AWD handled unflinchingly in snow and ice, and the Audi 100 never suffered from road noise or vibrations. The interior room was more than adequate, and controls and extras were convenient and stylish. There were only two steady complaints over the years -- the slow acceleration and the high cost of replacement parts. In 1995, the Audi 100 would be replaced by the A6.

(8 reviews)Performance? The fact that this car is still runinng with 273000 miles on it speaks for itself. And the build quality. Appereance? Any fault in it is my own: live on a dirt road, broke the tailgate and replaced it with a white one when the body is black, ect. Gas milage is around 20-22, if I accelerate slowly. If not, 18ish miles. Maintenace; not a lot. Tons of fun to drive and lots of room in the back! My carpooler has a cello and it fits perfectly, along with my violin and all of our stuff for school!
so fast. and fun to be in.
