Overview

Though some miss the old boxy Bonnie, its sleeker new look is accompanied by a sportier engine and better driving performance, and the 1994 Pontiac Bonneville is a good combination of spacious family car, luxury cruiser, and zippy ride. In 1993, the Bonneville came in three trims -- the SE, SSE, and SSEi. New was a supercharged V6 option for the SSE. Also new in 1993 was standard ABS brakes across the line. All trims used a 3.8-liter V6 engine. The SE and SSE hit 170-hp, but the supercharged SSEi gave it an extra boost to 205-hp. 4-speed automatic was the only transmission offered. Though it was no sports car, its highway cruising capabilities were good enough to please the average driver. A special Sports package was available for the SE, adding on a chrome grille, deck spoiler, performance tires, and leather seats. The 1993 Bonneville was nothing if not dependable, and it seems to last forever, say happy owners. The riding experience is all about comfort, especially on long rides, making it a practical family car. Owners says the interior is extraordinarily roomy, as is the trunk. They also like the new sporty-looking interior with red-lit dash, easy-to-read heads up display, and all the standard features. The Bonnie handles smoothly and efficiently. Now for the downers. Cheap plastic interior material wears out quickly, and some complain that the A/C isn't powerful enough. More engine power for a car this size woudl be better, and there are reports of electrical problems.

The Bonneville is okay it is huge, slow and comfortable, kinda like a tank minus the gun. The looks cold be better it is your typical h-body car. The gas mileage is medium about 20 miles a gallon avg. which for 15 year old car isn't bad. The performance was weak in SSEI model, let alone this one which is natural aspirated, with abysmal 0-60 time of 9.6 seconds. The build quality is very nice only two minor problems my ac fan knob broke, and the headliner is loose, other than that it is great, only issue I had that was issue was the starter, and for 15 years that is good.
