Tough little trucks. While I owned the 2.8 V6, the 4.3 liter was also an option. If you are looking for a tough little truck that still gets great gas mileage, the S10 is near the top of the list with Toyotas minis. Although not as bullitproof as the 4.3, the 2.8 V6 still provided the small vehicle with enough get-up-and-go. You can literally beat the hell out of these trucks until they rust into the ground. And they probably will. Cab corners, rocker panels, body mounts and box sides were all vulnerable to rust and often did.

I dont like the dash but other than that its nice. performance wise it is a 2.5L with a 5 speed so it will go but i want a little more. I added dual exhaust because a friend had some pipe and thought it would be different so i like that. its straight piped (no cats no muffler) and comes out at 45's.Future 350 build????? idkk

Performance- acceleration feels nice, braking is awsome, and its handling is starting to need work. Build Quality- needed to replace the clutch once since I've owned it, believe it is the only new clutch it has seen since it was built in '93. Appearance- Rust is its only enemy at this point. Has racing stripes which go with the truck nice. Cost of ownership- Great gas mileage, and it is a pretty common make, so cost of parts are not that expensive. Fun Factor- Will never get rid of it!
