The S10 is a very good truck platform, especially for younger drivers. The 2.8 is a very good engine that can last for many good miles.
Overall performance is good, and with a performance clutch, it can be very fun to drive.
The only drawback that I have seen is the lighter load capabilities, where I am used to bigger trucks.
This is the second '91 S10 that I have had. They are very easy to work on and the aftermarket products are abundant to make it "yours".

I tle-body fuel injection systemdont like the drum rear brakes;but, it stops just fine. the suspention and steering geometry make this little beast handle exceptionally well;the combo of the 2.8 v6, 5speed trans and throttle-body fuel injection system makes it a fast, fun to drive machine. The entire package is like some kind of happy accident; GM really got it right on this little machine I have oiwned much nicer vehicles, but none that I have loved or respected more.This little thing just seems to have no limits.

I loved this truck and kinda wish i still had it esp when it snowed out or going off road with 4x4. Was easy to work on. Hauled stuff great. I hauled bricks, mulch, pool table, furnature. Long bed came in handy with a couch. Didn't need many repairs. Gas mileage was decent for a truck 19-21 city 27 highway. People always thought it was a nice truck.

I loved this truck. It was my first and it did me well.

good gas mileage, 5 speed is fun to drive, not the fastest but not bad for 2.5L engine, only bad things typical rust on older Wisconsin Chevy truck and drivers window has a bit if an issue going up and down
