One of Chevy's best truck designs (I thought) were the models they had during the 90s. This was my first car, and in some ways my first love. She had 74,000 miles on her when I got her... and 273,000 miles on her when I traded her in. I have never loved owning a car more than this one. This truck was as reliable as the day is long. The only things ever replaced were wear items (and the transmission once, but that's because my step-father used it to pull a trailer that was far too heavy) and the rear end (once). 3 batteries, 2 alternators, one water pump, one rear end, a LOT of oil changes and a few tune-ups and this truck never ever let me down. The only time I was ever stranded was when the aftermarket alarm went on the fritz. If you need a truck, buy a Chevy. You'll thank me later.

It's better made than any of today's trucks, and it uses its power more efficiently as well. Acceleration: if you tromp it, you will leave two really good black marks, and you will reach 60 mph at the high end of second gear. It handles well... for a truck. No squeaks, no rattles, all I need is a new air conditioner, but this one lasted 15 years, so bravo. The appearance would be better if my friggin cats would just stay off of it! Needs a buffing... Eats the miles, gets 21 mpg at 70 mph. Not so good in town, though. I will never sell it.

can kill small babies. Bullet proof. And faster than their cars, when I drive. Performs great and since the 90degree v6 is based on the classic 5.7 SBC, there are many affordable performance parts available. The build quality is unmatched. This thing is as close to a tank as you can get while still fetching 20mpg
