not as light as the e30 325i, yet still very much a drivers car, early 90,s models hav rot problems towards the rear end normally the boot, bmw seemed to have sorted this problem by 93 so best to purchase that model or later, se model much better, vanos 24valve engine also a useful engine, thease cars are much betyter after being lowered an inch
