(7 reviews)Acceleration: Poor-Average Appearance; Exterior: Not bad, but still looks old! Interior: Cloth is sun bleached in parts Body: Recycled metal...eww... Drive: Maneuverable and very easy to park! Fuel Economy: 40-45 mpg Maintenance: Easy and no need to worry about promptness! Reliability: The best! Ride: Noisy & rough
It was actually a 96kw twincam 16v. performance was excellent, it had to be as the head was ported/flowed,valves spiralled, split cams etc. Cost of ownership not bad until it started giving problems then it was fuel pump, knocksensor,ECU etc. Handling & weight distribution extremely good.
the car is really simple for those grease monkeys =D
When I had it I took it everywhere, with 278880 miles on it, it was still going strong. It was a 4 cyl. with a stick shift. The interior was typical of the 90's vehicles (drab grey), but for my purposes it was easy to clean and disassemble. The handling was not what you could hope for, but it was stock (with 278880 miles). It handled just as well on road as off, though the open differential in this FWD vehicle did give me some problems. Also, while off road the ride height required some effort in the creativity department when it came to clearing some rock. The Transmission was bullet proof As rock took a chunk out of it yet, no problems occurred. The engine was the same, I crashed at 55 mph almost head on into a guard rail, it had coolant flooding the ground yet, I was able to drive back home on the freeway with no problems. I would have kept it, but was not thinking straight enough to considers having the repairs done.
geraet car, not lwys in running order but thats just due o the way i treat the thing, the ar is very solid and can take a hell of a beating; to the engine and to the body..i. 've had lots of fun diving his car in the pit jumed it once and the was no dmaga what so ever i even had a sick stereo system in in that woul make the entier thing shake....lol...and it was bay-blue when i bought it for 500$ in the summer of 2005...i painted it mate-black with cans of spay paint. I suggest this car for anyone whos lookng for a cheap relable beater for winter driving
